Today I  talk about a job I would like to have in my future. I have been thinking about this job but the truth is that is not easy for me project myself into the future and talk about it doesn’t make easier. Perhaps I have not thought a specific job but I know with certain that I want to work with children in the educational area.
For many years the school has been shown as a place where learning is rigid where the principal objective is that children have to learn what society demands and ignoring other things that I consider very important, for example: the respect, the love, individual learning, etc.
I would work on this because I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A CHANGE, AND THIS IS MY principal motivation. The children have different opinions and these are as valid as any other, They have a lot to say and we are not hearing.
I think that the most important qualification for this job is never give up eventhough all is against us.
Find this job is not difficult if you find other people with the same project and motivation.

.

Friends and friendship!
Friends are one of the most important things in life, they are the most special thing in my live because with them you share, talk, play, laugh, and cry. And you can trust them. This is the most beautiful feeling!
Friends must be honest and respectful. For me this is the most important thing, the rest is a secret to be discovered and that's wonderful! Because you never stop knowing your friends.
For me friends are people that will always be with you, people that will always love you but also will always say you when they believe you are going on the wrong way.

I think friends are not easy to make, perhaps is very easy know a lot of people but build a friendship is something that needs a lot of time. I have never known friends online.
I don’t have only one best friend in the university. There, I can say I have 9 friends!! They are the best!!! Nati, Caro, Beli, Consu, Dani, Koni, Cami, Regi and Clau. In the group there are some who are my closest friends, they are Natalia and Carolina. I met them the first day of the university and from that day we never separated.
Also I have my friends from school: Mickey, Jason, Maniwi, Denis and Garza. I know them since we were studying in the primary about nine years ago. Uf is a really long time! So it is a beautiful friendship that continues at this time.
Today, it is difficult to find time to meet all together but when we can make it, we always share our memories from the past and talk about our lives.

I love friendships!!

I really love take care of the environment

Hi blogger friends!

This week I’m going to talk about the environment. I think I’m a eco-hero because I really love take care of the environment, for example I use my bike instead of a car, my family and I have a lot of recycling habits like we take short showers and we don’t use plastic bags, also we only buy natural products like the other day I went to a fair where I buy a natural deodorant

I think this kind of habit should be learning in school, but the school prefers to pay attention to subjects like math’s and language. Family is important too, this is the first place where children learn how to coexist with nature.
I would like that people understand the importance of taking care the environment, but I think the only way to take that conscience is across school,  I’m going to be a teacher someday and I would like   to install this habits and conscience.
I think in my city, Santiago, people live their live of a stressful way and they don’t have time to think about the important things in life, they are worry about job and things like that, maybe we need to change the system to make changes .

So I invite you to think about the way you live your life, and see if there is something you can do to make from this world a better place to live.

I read since I am a little girl. It always has been very handy; Mi uncle read me every night. We read stories
(my brother, cousins and me). I remember that in vacations we had to read at least a book. For me, that was always fun because I read what I liked! When I returned to school I usually read boring books. I think that reading is very important but the school forces you and that is very bad and sad because there is not motivation.

In the end, I always read books that I liked and not the books of the school. I lost my motivation for reading because I could not read “my books” and I had to read for obligation the “school books”.

With time again I started to like reading, for example this last time I have read many books. I like reading a bit of everything at the same time because I get bored reading the same. For example sometimes I read a book related to a fantastic story while I read a book that has to do with things like yoga.

Very recently a friend lent me a book called "La némesis medica" by Ivan Ilich. This is a very interesting book that is about how traditional medicine only handles to cure diseases and not focus on why we get sick. "It is a characteristic of this society industrialized people want to be taught, moved, treated or guided rather than learn, heal and find their own way." I really loved this book and it took me two months or so to finish it.

I would recommend it to everyone, I think it's always important to read about things we have to deal with every day.

Privatization and educational inequality in Chile.

WRITTEN BY DAVID PEDIGO.

WEDNESDAY, 30 NOVEMBER 2011.
Editor@santiagotimes.cl.  Copyright 2011 - Los tiempos de Santiago

In this article is questioned if implementing a tuition-free higher education system would be a smart policy for Chile. Perhaps the solution is a topic that has an origin elsewhere. What will solve the problems of Chile'seducation system if free university tuition won't do it?. For this this article consists of a more detailed analysis of the secondary school, universities, the voucher system, privatizing the education, etc.

The investigation by David Pedigo says that the inequalities of the education in Chile have origin in the socioeconomic inequalities. The problem comes from of basic and secondary education. Today is very big the inequality between the public and private schools and this is seen later in the university.

Privatizing Education: In 1981 under the military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet was set up a reform that set aside government subsidies of the privates and publics schools on the basis of their enrollment, this only allowed increased competition regardless of the quality.

A View from the Ground: David Pedigo visited many schools and universities of the country and the  differences are abysmal. The academic topic and the quality are very different between the public and private school with state contribution. There are few private schools where enrollment and monthly payment is 5 times more expensive than the average.

Attacking the Problem: In this article are shown a lot of national and international reserch from different years which show that inequality in the schools still goes on and we must do something about this, but the solution is much deeper than making eduacion free university, you must first improve things from the primary and secondary eduation.

Today I am going to write about my Independence Day holidays....

In general, since I was a child, I always look forward to celebrating it because at this time I meet with all my family: my cousins, uncles, aunts, etc. We dance “cueca”, drink “chicha”, play football and eat empanadas, meet, etc. Also one of my cousins celebrates her birthday which is on September the 20th so we have a lot of fun.
Nowadays things are not very different, except for one thing: I do not eat meat!! But for me is not complicated at all because we always have other things to eat as I am not the only one who doesn’t eat meat. This year in this independence holiday I feel very sad for the rights of the animals as people kill thousands to eat them and of course I do not agree with that.
Today we're all older but we always have fun like children and we take advantage of these days to meet, talk, eat, but mostly laugh.

In general I like the independence holidays because people have free time to enjoy other things but on the other hand I don’t like it because many Chileans act as consumerists buying a lot of food and stuff that sometimes are really unnecessary.
In this holidays I shared a lot with my family, I went to Curacaví. There we played and ate a lot, and also we drank “chicha”. But most importantly I shared with my nephew who is 3 months old, he is precious.

Last year I spent some beautiful holidays in Antofagasta.
I traveled with my cousins: Camila, Paulina and Kote.
We have many relatives there (uncles, cousins and my grandmother). My mother`s family is from Antofagasta. My mother was born there and lived for 20 years then moved to Valparaiso to study at the university.
I must say that I ate a lot because my aunt is the owner of a restaurant so we had very tasty food and very different too. Also we went to the beach everyday, we helped with some duties in the house and every night all the cousins met to spend some time together but some nights we went partying too!
For me was a wonderful experience because I met every cousin and every day we had different things to do. I visited interesting places and beautiful beaches: the very famous “La portada de Antofagasta” and a very nice and touristic beach called “San felipe”, etc.

I will never forget this holiday because it was a very important to know deeply my family and other people in that city. I am looking forward to going again next summer, I am sure it will be awesome.
