Today I am going to write about my Independence Day
holidays....
In general, since I was a child, I always look forward
to celebrating it because at this time I meet with all my family: my cousins,
uncles, aunts, etc. We dance “cueca”, drink “chicha”, play football and eat
empanadas, meet, etc. Also one of my cousins celebrates her birthday which is
on September the 20th so we have a lot of fun.
Nowadays things are not very different, except for one
thing: I do not eat meat!! But for me is not complicated at all because we
always have other things to eat as I am not the only one who doesn’t eat meat.
This year in this independence holiday I feel very sad for the rights of the
animals as people kill thousands to eat them and of course I do not agree with
that.
Today we're all older but we always have fun like
children and we take advantage of these days to meet, talk, eat, but mostly
laugh.
In general I like the independence holidays because
people have free time to enjoy other things but on the other hand I don’t like
it because many Chileans act as consumerists buying a lot of food and stuff
that sometimes are really unnecessary.
In this holidays I shared a lot with my family, I went
to Curacaví. There we played and ate a lot, and also we drank “chicha”. But
most importantly I shared with my nephew who is 3 months old, he is precious.
